attributed to Florida, circa 1930s, top set with ivory, ebonized and mother-of-pearl inlay, the applied carved double case set with seahorses, sailing ship, pelicans and images of the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower, lighthouses and etc., one side with a carved race car with date 1922, coffer-shaped top with four lock hasps lifting from a conforming base with interior compartment, upper case with brass eagle, doorknocker carrying handles, 34-1/2 x 35 x 17 in.. Notes: The race car likely represents the "Blue Bird" that set the land speed record in 1922. The other side records the nonstop flight of Charles Lindbergh from New York to Paris, France.
