trapdoor single shot, caliber .45-70 government, S/N 180209, "U.S. Springfield" next to eagle on lock plate, "U.S. Model 1873" engraved at breech, 32-5/8 in. barrel, "V", "P", and "Eagles Head" hallmarks on left side of barrel, "R" and "P" type marks near hallmarks, raised blade front sight, adjustable rear ladder sight, two sling swivels at front barrel band, sling swivel at trigger guard, steel butt plate with "US" mark, inspectors square cartouche on left side of stock above trigger, "P" in circle mark near trigger guard on buttstock, overall 52 in.

Condition

stock with handling wear, dents dings and scratches, small area of loss to left forend, faint initials to buttstock, patina and oxidation to metal surfaces, scratches, some white paint residue, trigger and action appear to function

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
