Civil War .68 caliber, model 1861 percussion musket, lock plate stamped "U.S. Norwich" and "1864", 34 in. barrel with brass bead front sight, iron butt plate stamped "US", iron trigger guard, 49-3/4 in. total; English half stock musket, 44-3/4 in. round to octagonal barrel marked "London", brass furniture including decorative trigger guard, thimble, butt plate, and cap box, brass tipped ramrod, 60-1/2 in.

Condition

both with patina, oxidation and corrosion to metal components, dents, scratches and handling wear to wooden components, bores with corrosion, English gun with composition repair around lock plate, barrel tang cutdown, heavy pitting and corrosion to metal around hammer, losses to edges of wood at forend, 3-1/2 in. crack in wood at grip, possible composition gun, Norwich musket trigger functions, trigger on other gun doesn't function

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
