Continental, 18th/19th century, tapestry wool border fragment with shell and scrolled foliate motifs, probably later striped red and gold silk and metallic thread grosgrain ribbon applied at edges, as a border around all four edges, 8 x 22 in.; British, mid to late 16th century, wool horizontal border fragment, of a seated woman flanked by caryatids and other mythological figures, floral and foliate motifs throughout, pale blue silk lining ends, brown silk lining/backing across middle, 14 x 80-1/2 in.
