probably Continental, 19th century, one mounted to scalloped wood frame, both with two robed figures flanking a heraldic device, banner below with phrase "Dieu ayde Au Premier Chrestien", rose and vine floor length side panels, scalloped frame with interior applied fringe, embroidered band and silk outer border, grosscloth backing, 100 x 59 x 26 in., separations, grime, stains, fraying to outside silk border; flat top valance, 104 x 65 x 5 in., later fringe, no outside border, later linen backing .
