circa 1770, serpentine acanthine carved crest rail, vasiform splat centered by a carved tassel and pierced trefoil, period slip seats, foliate cabriole legs, tall ball and claw feet, one chair with later placard reading "Mary Livingston Duane", 38 x 23 x 19 in.

both chairs structurally sound and in generally good condition, resurfaced, one chair with repaired stile, minor patches at stile and seat rail joints, one rear leg with crack, other chair with dowel added to one front leg joint, slip seats with later screws, recent Chinoiserie upholstery in good condition, other minor wear and imperfections from age and use
