Continental, 18th/19th century, each with iron strap hinges, one with heart escutcheon and bracket feet, extensive interior pest damage, some losses at hinge tips, lacking lock; one with shield escutcheon and original lock, turned feet, refinished, scattered pest damage, later braces at underside of lid, both 26 x 43-1/2 x 26-1/4 in. both with replaced feet, surface wear and stains overall.
