Knife Boxes English, late 18th/early 19th century, both with shell-inlaid hinged lids, one with a refitted interior with compartments, applied silver-plated escutcheon plate with monogram "E", silver-plated ring lift, 14-1/2 in., top ajar and with separations to left side of top, minor losses near base, some scratches, veneer cracking at top and sides; the other with inlaid edges and moldings at all corners, hinged top and shield-form silver-plated escutcheon, 15 in., top ajar, breaks and separations to top and back of base, lacking interior .
