both probably British, one featuring a stag, crown and lion, signed "Ann Windale Aged 15, 1797", silk on linen, 16-1/2 x 16-3/4 (sight), stained wood frame; one finely stitched and signed "Eliza Roach Walkhampton School Aged 11 Years 1834", silk on linen, 17 x 12-1/2 in. (sight), wood frame. Condition: both with fading, scattered stains, losses to embroidery, 1834 needlework has losses to ground at bottom, not examined out of frames.
