19th century, each of octagonal form: one with hinged lid with bronze ball finial opening to single compartment interior, silver nameplate engraved "Amelie", 5 x 4-3/4 x 3 in.; one with domed hinged lid opening to divided and lidded interior, on ball feet, 5 x 5 x 3-1/2 in.

Condition

scattered surface scratches, some warping and lifting to tortoiseshell veneers; example with nameplate with lid broken off hinges, loss to one ivory veneer at bottom edge; example on ball feet with some cracks and possible repairs to veneers
