circa 1750, Qianlong period, for the German market, the center enameled with a double coat of arms for the Prince of Anhalt, multiple crests, crowned beer and lion supporters,ÿall beneath a large coronet, encircled by a ribbon, against ermine mantling, scalloped gilt rim, 9-1/8 in., Provenance: Charles Perry, Atlanta, Georgia (one with label attached); Private Georgia Collection; Note: According to the label attached, the arms are of Leopold II, Prince of Anhalt-Dessau, but an armorial plate with the same coat of arms from the Leo and Doris Hodroff Collection, sold at Christie's, New York, attributed theÿcoat of arms to Christian Auguste, Prince of Anhalt, and his wife Princess Johanna Elizabeth of Holstein-Gottorp.

Condition

one with worn enamel decoration at crest, repaired breaks and retouch across plate; one with green color retouch to lower fronds

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
