Young Man with Blue Eyes, Possibly Robert Livingston, Chancellor of New York (1746-1813), unsigned, watercolor on card, 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 in. oval; fine period carved gilt wood frame with eglomise spandrel, 12-1/4 x 11 in.; Gentleman with Fine Whiskers, unsigned, watercolor on ivory, sight 2-3/4 x 2 in. oval;  gilt wood frame with eglomise spandrel, oval gilt mats, 7 x 6 in.

Note: possibly original backing board with carved inscription "Robt. R. Livingston 1747-1813".

Condition

the first taped to paper mat verso, framers notations verso, some toning and slight staining, slight surface wear commensurate with age; frame with wear, abrasions and losses to gilt, separation at corners; the second with surface wear, large quantity of tape verso; frame and mats with substantial wear and losses

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
