monumental storage jar, tan alkaline glaze, stamped "H.F. Reinhardt Vale N.C." for Harvey F. Reinhardt, 1912-1960, incised "8" under one of two lug lug handles, angled shoulder, tightly turned rounded rim, 22 in.; mottled brown and tan alkaline glazed churn with cobalt decoration, angled strap handle at shoulder, straight necked rim, lid shelf in interior, attributed to Jug Johnson, Laurens, South Carolina, early 1900s, 14 in.

glaze voids and anomalies as made, wear and minor glaze chips to rim of churn, otherwise good condition, large jar with many areas of loss to exterior glaze with surface abrasions, 2-1/2 in. glaze chip to one handle, many chips to glaze at rim, the largest 1-1/2 in., wear to base edge and base

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
