Arden, North Carolina: both with albany slip glaze, strap and lug handles, slightly flared rims, one inscribed '4" and stamped "Brown Bros" at shoulder, 15-1/2 in., [7 in. hairline crack from base to belly, hairline at rim]; the other stamped "Brown Pottery" over "5", 17-1/2 in., [hairline crack in rim, chips to rim of both handles] both with glaze chips, voids and anomalies.
