British, 18th century, two similar pairs with double knops along the shaft and push-up ejection mechanisms on the side, circular domes bases, 7-3/8 x 4-3/8 in.; 8-5/8 x 5 in. - Provenance: Cora Ginsburg, LLC, New York (smaller pair); Property from the Collection of Dudley and Constance Godfrey smaller: one with small patch repair and some tiny cracks to side aperture, underside attachment points with wax infill; larger: one underside attachment point with brazing infill (possibly as made), and other scattered small brazing repairs; both with visible seams (as made), other small scratches, dents, wax residue and verdigris, and minor flaws (as made)
