20th century, comprising: pair of Empire style lamps with tiered bases and cylindrical columns, black painted with bronze mounts in the decoration of wreaths, lyres, and children, 21-1/8 x 5-1/4 x 5-1/4 in.; near pair of Classical style lamps with tiered bases, reeded Corinthian columns surmounted by wreath decoration, harps with circular wreath finials, one larger, 26-3/4 x 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 in. with harp; both wired for electricity

Provenance: According to consignor notes the Empire examples were purchased at Churchill Galleries, 1999, for $2,500, the shorter Classical example was purchased at Boone's Antiques in Wilson, North Carolina, July 2000 and the taller at Randal Tysinger's Antiques in Thomasville, North Carolina for $2,889; Collection of JoAnn and Whit Whitley, North Carolina

Note: According to consignor notes, the shorter Classical example was previously a candlestick and the taller example was part of a matching pair.

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
