Alamance or Randolph counties, North Carolina, likely circa 1850s, two salt glaze storage jars, applied arched strap handles with flat pressed terminus, two coggle wheel lines around both shoulders, downturned flat angled rims, larger jar with impressed "2" under one handle, 11-3/4 and 10-3/4 in., likely attributed to Soloman Loy or a Craven family potter

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.

glaze voids and anomalies as made, minor surface abrasions and firing hairlines, glaze and clay body frits, larger jar with 5 prong hairline on base, three heading up side of jar for 2, 4, and 3 in., 6 in. radial hairline around base edge, smaller associated hairlines, base edge wear, smaller jar with 3/4 in. chip to one handle 1/2 in. glaze frit to other handle, 3/4 and 1/2 in. interior rim chip, 2-1/2 in. hairline down from rim, firing hairlines in glaze around jar, base edge wear, miniscule spider hairline on base
