19th century, smaller in lotus form with scalloped rim, painted with irregular reserves of dragons, monkeys and birds on various patterned grounds, motifs repeated on outside, 4-1/2 x 11-1/2 in., [good condition]; larger has hemisperical form with deep blue and gold rim, interior is sectioned into four vignettes with storks alternating with foo dogs, the motifs repeated on the outside, 4-3/4 x 12-1/2 in., [crack in bottom, short hairlines in rim].
