Boston, early 20th century, tall mottled matt-green leaves alternate with buds at pentagonal rim, small paper label "GRUEBY POTTERY/BOSTON.U.S.A." around lotus (impressed mark obscured by heavy glaze), 9-3/8 in., [one-inch repair on top rim, tiny nick at tip of one leaf]; small baluster form with mustard matte glaze, impressed Grueby mark on base partially obscured by glaze, 4-1/4 in., [some glaze infill around edge of top rim, tiny nick under rim].
