Continental, late 18th/19th century, two scenes: St. George and the dragon; St. Francis giving his mantle to a poor man; watercolor with cut paper and fabric on paper, each approximately 12-1/2 x 17 in.; carved, gilt, and painted wood frames, 14-3/4 x 18-1/2 in.
Condition
St. Francis laid on board (St. George similarly framed, not examined out of frame), toning, fading, and scattered staining throughout, a few small tears and losses; frames with abrasions and edge chips, some paint and gilt loss
