both of cut paper, one with signature upper right, 16 x 10 in. and 17-1/2 x 12-1/2 in.; both floated within frame, fabric mat, black painted wood frames, fading, minor losses to paper edges, afrasions to frame. Notes: attached note verso states " Japanese, Edo Period, stencil for
printing on fabric made with two or more sheets of mulberry
fiber papers which have been waterproofed with green persimmon juice.
The pattern is cut with various knives - a fine net of hair or silk is used to
