circa 1900: a finely carved lacquer incense box (kogo), top relief-carved with a fierce warrior, 3/4 x 2-1/2 in., set in a fitted wooden box; together with a Plique-à-jour incense box, finely crackled enameled surface with leaf-and-berry decoration, silver rims, 1-3/4 x 2-7/8 in., minor interior discoloration, one leaf at base with possible flaw .
