probably Yorkshire area, early to mid 19th century, brown glazed bank with openwork top and bird finial, dated "1838" in yellow slip, 8-1/2 in.; cylindrical banks with swirled yellow and brown glaze, large bird head finial dropping coin into slot, printed in slip "GRH/CRAMP" flanked by applied leaf and vine decoration, second slot on bottom, 7-1/2 in. - Provenance: Garry Atkins, London; Property from the Collection of Dudley and Constance Godfrey
