Chairs Attributed to Pugin
19th century, one mahogany with tablet back, faceted stiles and stretchers with through-tenon construction, brass front feet, fabric-upholstered seat, probably original surface, attributed to E. W. Pugin (1834-1875) 32 x 18-1/2 x 18-1/2 in., [good condition with light surface wear and abrasions, later upholstery generally good;] other oak with rosette-carved tablet back, leather-upholstered seat and faceted legs with stretchers, attributed to A. W. N. Pugin (1812-1852), 35-1/2 x 18 x 20 in., [scattered surface wear and finish losses, leather seat with extensive cracking and wear, possible old refinishing] .
