Three Tea Articles Chinese export porcelain, late 18th/early 19th century, two plates with scalloped rim and blue Fitzhugh border, gilt and brown wave inner border, center device of frame surrounded by draped leaf chains and bowknots enclosing gilt and iron-red monogram "JJW", no marks, 9-1/2 in. and 6 in., [gilding and glazes show wear on both, small chip in rim of small plate, small glaze losses on rim of large plate and three small rim chips visible on reverse]; teacup, saucer and open sugar, blue diamond diaper and spear borders with gilt husk inner border and black outline shield with gilt and iron-red monogram "AME", the shield surrounded by tiny flowers, no marks, 3-1/4, 4-3/4, and 5 in. diameter, [tiny chip in rim of saucer, gilding worn, slight scratches in glaze], monograms JMW for Captain James Talcot Watson (1750-1806) and his wife .
