(20th century)Suspense, 1946, sight 38 x 26 in.; The Hunted, 1948, sight 38-1/2 x 24-5/8 in., both starring the skater Belita (Belita Jepsen-Turner), offset lithographs; metal frames, 41-1/4 x 27-1/8 in.Note: Although Belita Jepsen-Turner was in the 1936 Olympic Winter Games, she did not care much about competition. She was also a great dancer, movie star, actress, and performer. Belita's elegance, Olympic ability, and training as a ballet dancer were extraordinary. She danced with Anton Dolin, skated in the Ice Capades, and acted in movies with Charles Laughton, Preston Foster, Barry Sullivan, and others. Her level of importance has been rare indeed. - Provenance: The Skating Collection of Dick Button, New York, Brunk Auctions, January 25, 2019, Lot 1070; Private Collection
