Gilt-Decorated Cabinets both probably 19th century, the larger example with finely rendered chinoisserie scenes in gilt on black ground, two doors opening to a fitted interior with mirrored central prospect on a modern frame, lower section with drawer at side, 41 x 25-3/4 x 9-1/2 in., scars, distress and losses to lacquer especially at laminations and joints, interior drawers lacking pulls, separations at backboards, front section below doors possibly repainted and/or lacking ornament; together with a smaller example with two doors opening to a fitted interior set with eight drawers on a modern low stand, decorated on all four sides, 22 x 16-12 x 8-1/4 in., scattered chips and losses to lacquer ornament especially at top edge, some fading, lacking interior lock and drawer pulls .
