circa 1770, one Connecticut cherry armchair with lobed shell carved crest rail, scrolled splat and arms, cabriole legs, ball and claw feet, 41 x 28 x 22 in.; the other a Philadelphia walnut armchair with scallop shell carved crest rail, scrolled pierced splat, scrolled arms, shell carved seat rail and knees, cabriole legs, ball and claw feet, 42-1/4 x 29-1/2 x 21-1/2 in.

both chairs structurally sound, Connecticut cherry armchair is missing back brace at top of splat, feet have been ended out, scattered shrinkages and other wear from age and use; Philadelphia walnut armchair with scattered old repairs throughout frame at joints, small loss at corner of crest rail, old filled upholstery tack holes along exterior seat rail, loss to one toe of front foot, shrinkages and other wear expected with age and use
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
