American, 19th century, transition pepperbox revolver, octagonal 2-3/8 in. barrel, .31 caliber, "Allen & Wheelock" stamped on top of barrel, "April 16, 1845" stamped on hammer, walnut grips, steel backstrap, [pitting, patina to metal, some marring to wood]; octagonal 2-3/4 in. barrel, side hammer navy percussion revolver, side of barrel stamped "Allen & Wheelock Worcester Mass, cylinder decorated with animal scenes, trigger guard with opening mechanism, walnut grips, [pitting, loss to images on cylinder, crack to one wood grip]
