Revival Encaustic Tiles
English, late 19th century, designed by A.W.N. Pugin (Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin, 1812-1852), encaustic tiles inlaid in the medieval style, five different designs, some stamped verso "Minton & Company/Stoke Upon Trent," "W. Goodwin", "Lou Dunne Hereford", most 6 x 6 in., five 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 in.; accompanied by booklet on Arts and Crafts tiles. Condition: many with chips and losses at corners, some glaze loss.
