19th century, black slate body with bronze medallions, lion ring handles and hairy paw feet, black dial with applied brass Roman numerals, dial reads "Tiffany & Company, New York", movement stamped "Japy Freres, Grande Medaille d'Honneur", 7-1/4 x 17 x 8 in.
discoloration to slate, minor chips on edges, at time of inspection chime in working order, but piece did not tick, loss to Tiffany label
