(Randolph County, North Carolina, 1832-1922) salt glaze churn, cylindrical form with rounded shoulder, two bands of ringed line decoration below neck, applied lug handles, flared rim, impressed "JM Hays" and "2" at front, 15 in.; salt glaze jug, ring decoration and impressed "JM Hays" at shoulder, collared rim, applied strap handle, 9 in.; preserve jar, impressed "JM Hays", tooled flat rim, 8 in.

glaze voids and anomalies as made, churn with residue on exterior, stabilized hairline on base and 7-1/2 in. up side of churn, preserve jar with several rim chips, one 1-1/2 in., other glaze and clay body losses, jug with interior rim chip, clay body surface anomalies, base edge chips, 6 in. stabilized hairline from base edge to belly of jar
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
