tan jug cobalt stamped "J & JF TRIPP DRUGGISTS 90 & 92 MADENLANE", cobalt slip spotted floral motif decoration, possibly attributed to the Hudson River Pottery, thick rimmed spout, large applied strap handle, 12-1/2 in.; gray stoneware jug with "N. Povill. Wine & Liquors. 477 Broadway. Brooklyn. N.Y." in cobalt script across front, straight spout, applied strap handle, 11 in.; small salt glaze jug, "2 quarts" on front in cobalt script, possibly Cortland New York, thick rim, applied strap handle with cobalt slip around tail, 9 in.

glaze anomalies as made, clay body anomalies as made, surface abrasions, Tripp jug with surface abrasions and 1/2 in. clay body blowout at side, miniscule spider hairlines close to base edge as made, N. Povill jug with several small chips to clay at rim, residue and white paint specks on exterior, wear at base edge, small salt glaze jug with small base edge chip
Available payment options
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
