Crowell Company, with 12 tipped-in color illustrations by Willy Pogany, very good condition, in gilt decorated and lettered brown leather, teg, heavily rubbed at the extremities, front hinge split, and a small amount of loss at the bottom edge, unusual in this leather binding; The Historie of Philip de Commines Knight, Lord of Argenton, London: Ar. Hatfield, for I. Norton, 1596, translated by Thomas Danett, an important work of medieval history, very good condition, in later blind-stamped brown leather binding with five raised bands, gilt spine lettering and decorations, with wear and some loss at the extremities, 10-1?4 x 7-3?4 in. to 10 3?4 x 8 in. .
