On the Beach, 2005, with brooch, signed on brooch "Thomas Mann" and stamped "Sterling" and "Mannmade", mixed media: brooch, silver, bronze, steel, stone; Box: found wood, rocks, photo print, plexiglass, metal, 24 x 18 x 4 in.. Notes: "It was a very weird juxtaposition of events and thoughts. In this piece, I superimposed a view of the Superdome in New Orleans into a photograph of me snorkeling in the shallows of the lake to dramatise that terrible and wonderful dichotomy".
