one-page letter written from Thomas Jefferson to his master carpenter, James Dinsmore dated Oct. 15, 1802, in the letter Jefferson details where locks need to installed in Monticello, with post stamp for Washington on the verso, addressed to Dinsmore at Monticello, 9-1/2 x 8 in.; in a gilt-decorated wood frame in museum glass, with glass window on the verso revealing Jefferson's signature and Dinsmore's address, 12 x 10-1/2 in. very good, evidence of folds, very slight edge wear, very slight foxing.
