Clock, 47 Cornhill, London England, 19th century, mahogany case with four brass winged lions, paw feet, brass face and works with black Roman numerals, gadrooned caddy top with brass pineapple finial, face signed by Savory with number "751", 14-3/4 in., with pendulum and two keys,. Condition: slight checking in veneer on front, sides and back; sticker on bottom notes that it was cleaned, repaired and restored in 1997. Notes: Primarily a retailer and silversmith, Thomas Cox Savory is recorded at 47 Cornhill, London in 1838. Loomes records him there 1851-1857 and also as having premises in Paris from the mid to late 19th Century.
