Mexican, possibly ancient, black stone chontal mask with cut eyes and mouth, holes above and below ear for string, with black metal stand with felt base, stand: 6 x 4 in., mask: 5-1/2 x 4-3/4 in.

Scott, BA, BSc, PhD, C.Chem, FRSC, FIIC. stating that evidence supports the attribution of the mask as originating from the Pre Hispanic period.
