French, late 18th century, well carved beech wood frames in gray paint with gilt highlights, gadrooned crest rails and urn finials, water leaf carved arms and arm supports, stop fluted legs, pale blue silk lampas upholstery, one chair stamped with illegible maker's mark and "VF", 37-1/2 in.˜Provenance: Property deaccessioned by the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, Inc. to benefit the collections and acquisitions funds.
