possibly Tennessee, late 18th/early 19th century, circular dished top centering a sunburst inlay, tilting on a birdcage support on ring-and-baluster turned support, tripod base with stylized leaf-carved legs, 30-1/4 x 29-1/2 in., generally good condition, refinished, minor patches, cracks to top, hinge mechanisms for birdcage with later brass banding, unusual lock/catch mechanism possibly original, (underside with later iron spider), minor cracks and one patch to standard at joint with legs, other light wear and finish losses.
