late 19th/early 20th century, the crest with well-carved alligator over rustic split spindles and rush seat, probably red cedar throughout, old dry surface, 35-1/2 in.. Condition: good as-found condition, shrinkage cracks to legs, some wear and breaks to rush upholstery, surface wear, abrasions and some paint splatter.
