Cellaret
attributed to South Carolina, circa 1800, the inlaid box with hinged lid and divided interior with apertures for nine bottles, conforming frame with kite-inlaid tapered legs, single dovetailed drawer, poplar secondary, 33-1/2 x 18-1/2 x 17-3/4 in., bed molding, box floor and bottle dividers replaced, box lacking lock, restorations to lid (several plugged nail scars and shadows from previous braces), cracks and repairs at back edge of top, break and repair to rear leg, brasses likely replaced, sun fading, surface wear, later brass stays for top, other possible restorations (top and base possibly associated?).
