attributed to Tennessee, early 19th century, hinged lid opening to interior currently fitted with sliding till, diamond inlaid escutcheon, single dovetailed drawer, on turned legs, walnut backboards, 38 x 28 x 18-1/2 in.

interior lacking dividers (sliding till and support of later date), shrinkage crack at top, lacking lock, small diamond patch near escutcheon, later strip at back edge of top with repair at one hinge and two patches, scratches and abrasions to top, other scattered minor molding repairs, chips and one small patch at feet
