probably Kentucky, early 19th century, hinged lid over an open compartment with sliding lid, scalloped front and side skirts and straight bracket feet, cut nail and dovetailed construction, poplar secondary, 38-1/2 x 33-1/2 x 18-1/2 in.
refinished, lacking kite escutcheon for lock, original feet and skirt with some later blocking, repair at one front side facing and crack to both side facings, minor cracks to case sides, minor losses and repairs at applied skirt molding
