probably Maryland or Virginia, late 18th century, fitted interior, dovetailed drawers, yellow pine secondary throughout, quarter columns and ogee bracket feet, one drawer back inscribed in chalk "CS to one pint of whiskey", and "The cow will graze in May", other illegible chalk inscriptions, 43-3/4 x 41-1/2 x 21 in.. Condition: original feet and some blocking with numerous breaks and some repairs, brasses replaced, drawer interiors with later red paint, possibly lacking inserts in prospect section, other typical cracks and minor repairs.
