3-1/4 in. round barrel, serial number 75280 on cylinder and bottom of grip, top of barrel marked "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT'D JAN. 17&24 65/JULY 11. 65. AUG. 24. 69. JULY 25. 71. DEC 2. 79. MAY 11 & 25. 1880", front sight is a half moon pinned to the rib at the muzzle, rear sight is a notch cut into the top of the barrel latch, grips are checkered black hard rubber panels with S&W monogram logos at their tops
