.54 caliber, round 10 in. smoothbore barrel, brass blade front sight, "JDJ", "P" and "US" proof marks to left side of barrel, barely visible worn out makers mark for S. North over eagle on lock plate, sliding safety, visible "CONN" lettering, brass flash pan, iron barrel band, backstrap, butt cap, and trigger guard, swivel type steel ramrod, inspectors mark on stock near left side of lock plate, 15-1/2 in.; unmarked flintlock pistol of similar make, small stamped "M" on lock plate, no other identifying marks, same dimensions

patina, oxidation and discoloration to metal surfaces, handling evidence, dents and scratches to wood surfaces, hairline split in wood grain at left side of barrel band, running understock and back up to right barrel band, 3/4 in. split to wood on left side at lock plate, chip to stock at trigger guard, other abrasions and minor chips, unmarked flintlock pistol with similar condition to wood and metal surfaces, chips to wood at lock plate, both triggers and action appear to function
