French, early 20th century, hand-painted and gilt-decorated oval cover with urn finial, wide gilt borders, gilt handles and finial, wide upper portion of body with reclining beauty in a floral landscape within a gilt surround, swag with blue and gilt decorated tassels with pink bows, stylized floral latticework flared footed base with acanthus leaf border, impressed on underside "2914" and hand-painted "Maria Henriette Fils de Louis XV" (likely the image of Maria Teresa Rafaela of Spain, first wife of Louis XV), 16 in. loose at bolt connection between bowl and base. Condition
