French, probably 19th century, five hand painted porcelain plaques, putti depictions, bleu c‚leste ground, gilt bronze fittings, engraved decorations of intertwining hybrid beasts, locking mechanism, interior lined in dark blue velvet, 6-1/4 x 8-3/4 x 6-3/8 in.˜Provenance: Private Collection, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
plaques not examined out of bronze mounts, some gilt and paint loss, minute firing anomaly on largest plaque, some crazing and hairline cracks to plaques, surface residue in engraving, small rough spot (perfect circle) to interior left wall, 1/2 in., missing key, wooden floor board is bowed, velvet floor cushion does not completely cover bottomÿ
