Articles New Mexico, 20th century, San Ildefonso blackware includes globular black-on-black vase with band of feather design at top signed "Maria/Popovi" Maria Martinez (1887-1980) and her son Popovi Da (1922-1971) 4 in., and mirror black shallow dish signed "Maria/Poveka" ("Poveka" for son Popovi) 8 in. diameter; Santa Clara items include red wedding vase with geometric designs (not signed) 6-3/4 in., black dish with [Avanyu] (water serpent) design in relief signed "Severa" for Severa Tafoya (1890-1973) 9 in. diameter, globular vase with [Avanyu] in relief signed "Teresita Naranjo" (1919-1999) 4-1/2 in., black bird form shallow dish not signed, and small black-on-black dish with scalloped line at rim signed "Susana" for Susana Aguilar (active 1895-1947) 1-3/4 in.,. Condition: all in good condition with light surface scratches.
